HOW TO MAKE BENGALI HOME STYLE ALOOR KOFTA

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • SMASHED BOIL POTATO
  • SOUR CURD
  • POPPY SEEDS
  • TOMATO SAUCE
  • BESAN
  • TURMERIC POWDER
  • RED CHILLY POWDER
  • CUMIN POWDER
  • CORIANDER POWDER
  • GARAM MASALA POWDER
  • BAY LEAF
  • MUSTARD OIL
  • CHOPPED ONION
  • ONION PASTE
  • GINGER & GARLIC PASTE
  • SALT & SUGAR TO TASTE

    Preprocessing Steps:

  • Chop onion into small pieces
  • prepare onion and garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoon of posto, one teaspoon of red chilli powder, one teaspoon of salt, and sugar.
  • Take smashed boiled potato and mix it well with all previous step ingredient.

      Processing Step:

 

  • Use the well-mixed smashed potato mixture to make round shaped biscuit like structure.
  • Place pan on gas fire and pour mustard oil in it.Allow it to boil.
  • Now slowly place  round shaped biscuit like structures in oil and let it be fried till a goldish colour appears on them.
  • Next boil 3 teaspoons of mustard oil in another pan , add paste , masala ,and bay leaf to it in a toast the mixture in boiled oil.
  • Add sour curd to the above mixture.
  • After 2 minutes add water to the mixture and wait until its boils.
  • Add salt to the boiled mixture.
  • once gravy is ready, add the fried kofta in it.
  • Cook for 2 more minutes and the dish is ready to be served along with hot rice.
  • Enjoy.
